FAQs

Typical rotations lengths are: Douglas Fir 7 years; Noble Fir 10 years, Nordmann Fir 10 years. Noble Mountain then removes the stumps, prepares the site and replants a new crop of trees.

Noble Mountain trees are primarily sold in southern California. However, through some of our wholesale customers Noble Mountain trees can be found all across the United States including Hawaii and outside of the U.S. in Mexico even reaching as far as the Middle East.

In many cases we are able to arrange freight by putting several orders together to make a load. Dates of delivery and other variables may not allow this in some cases however.

Noble Mountain used to shake all trees before shipment. Recently, Noble Mountain has transitioned to blowing standing trees in the field prior to harvest to remove naturally occurring interior dead needles and debris, and in most cases, any insects which may still be above ground. This new practice increases efficiency while still providing customers with a clean tree ready for display.

Noble Mountain’s trees are graded in the field prior to harvest (July to September) so our experienced graders can view the trees uniformity. Many of our graders have over 15 years of experience ensuring consistency and quality in grading utilizing USDA grading standards.

Noble Mountain maintains a regular crew of 50-60 people year-round to maintain quality and our high standards. During harvest and shipping season the number of employees can grow by 3X. In addition, Noble Mountain utilizes a number of specialized contractors throughout the year to assist in managing the farm.
